Who we are
Butler Media Marketing is a marketing agency based in Houston, TX. This policy covers www.butlermedia.marketing and Butler Desk, our online marketing toolkit. When we say "we" or "us," we mean Butler Media Marketing.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to work with you and run Butler Desk.
- When you book a call: your name, email and anything you share in the booking form. Bookings are handled by Calendly.
- When you email or call us: your contact details and what you tell us.
- When you create a Butler Desk account: your name, business name, email and password. Passwords are encrypted and we can never see them.
- When you pay for Butler Desk: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Butler Desk tools: things like saved post ideas, caption details and strategy answers are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider (Netlify) receives your IP address and browser type when you visit, to deliver the page and keep the site secure.
We don't use analytics trackers, advertising pixels or tracking cookies, and we don't sell your personal information.
How we use it
- To reply to you, schedule calls and deliver the work you hire us for.
- To run your Butler Desk account, free trial and billing.
- To send marketing tips and Butler Desk updates, only if you opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Some are essential for the site to work. Others are optional, and we only use them if you say yes.

Some content loads from other services without setting cookies: our fonts come from Google Fonts, and our Instagram posts are shown through Behold. These services receive your IP address when they deliver that content.
Your choices
- Cookie banner: choose "Accept all" or "Reject non-essential" the first time you visit. Rejecting doesn't block anything you need. You can still book a call on Calendly's own site.
- Change your mind anytime: , or use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as rejecting optional cookies.
- Your browser: you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Emails: unsubscribe using the link in any email we send.
Who we share it with
We only share information with the services that help us run our business, and only what they need:
- Netlify hosts the website.
- Supabase stores Butler Desk accounts.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Calendly handles call bookings.
- Brevo sends our emails.
- Google Workspace runs our business email.
We may also share information if the law requires it. We never sell or rent your personal information.
Keeping it safe
The whole site uses an encrypted (https) connection. Member data is protected so each member can only see their own account, and we keep information only as long as we need it to work with you or as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Our website and Butler Desk are meant for adults running businesses and aren't directed to children under 13.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under privacy laws in your state or country. We'll respond within 30 days and won't treat you differently for asking.
